What do we do? Sack lunches with three servings of soup and sandwiches are delivered to shut-ins and a hot meal is served at the Soup Kitchen from 11 a.m. until noon Monday through Friday of the last full week of each month. December has a special schedule--click here for more information. Everyone who comes into the Soup Kitchen is welcome to take home a bag with three soup/sandwich meals.
Volunteers are needed from 8:00 until about 1:00 - Monday through Friday during the last full week of the month.
Lunch is also served on every Monday and every Thursday. There will be no sack lunches on the "extra" Mondays and Thursdays, but everyone is invited to come and enjoy BINGO from 10 a.m. until 11 a.m., and a hot meal from 11 a.m. until noon. Volunteers may be needed from 8:30 until about 1:00 on these days. Please call or email about volunteering on these days.
Bringing a group? -- Groups may be scheduled only during the last full week of the month. Please email us to schedule the best time for your group, and please limit groups to 8 persons. Children between 12 and 14 are welcome to volunteer, provided they are under the direct supervision of a parent. Unaccompanied children should be at least 15 years old. Groups should provide adult supervision; adult groups need a contact person.
