The Soup Kitchen resumed serving hungry Carroll Countians on January 5, 2012.
During January, the Soup Kitchen served 789 delicious hot meals. (This figure includes 482 meals during Soup Kitchen week, 166 meals served on 2 Mondays, and 141 meals served on 3 Thursdays.) In addition, 3,918 sandwich meals (peanut butter & jelly sandwich, dessert, crackers, milk, and soup) were either delivered into the community or taken home by those who came to the Soup Kitchen during the week of January 20 - 24. Many thanks to the 257 volunteers who helped during the month!

During 2011, the Soup Kitchen served 8,356 hot meals.
Also 46,638 sandwich and soup meals were taken from the Soup Kitchen by diners or delivered to shut-ins in our community this year. (That's a lot of peanut butter and jelly!!)
Approximately 4,000 volunteers helped the Soup Kitchen provide meals! Everyone at the Soup Kitchen is a volunteer, and we all need each other in order to feed the many hungry people in Carroll County who walk through the SK doors!
